This is a biotechnology company specializing in the respiratory field, founded based on “lung stem cell biology” centered on human lung stem cell technology. The company develops pharmaceuticals and therapeutic approaches aimed at solving respiratory diseases.

Emerging infectious diseases that affect the respiratory system, including COVID-19, pose a major threat to humanity. In addition, the lungs undergo 20,000 to 30,000 breaths per day, constantly experiencing stress from the expansion and contraction of the organ itself as well as continuous exposure to inhaled external air. As a result, many patients suffer from chronic and progressive respiratory diseases.

The company has become the first in the world to successfully mass-produce cells with functions nearly equivalent to those in the human body for industrial applications by inducing differentiation of human respiratory epithelial cells from iPS cells—cells that were previously extremely difficult to culture stably.

Using a series of core technologies that enable this differentiation process, the company is developing various drug discovery platforms. By combining a “human lung disease model” created with this technology with advanced analytical technologies using AI and devices, the company aims to provide a platform that can predict and identify drug candidates expected to demonstrate high efficacy in patients and efficiently discover them in laboratory environments.

Job Description

You will be responsible for one or more of the following tasks related to pharmaceutical research and development and/or regenerative medicine product development in the respiratory disease field:

(1) Primarily cell culture and its management
(2) Various analyses using the above cells
(3) Support for laboratory operations (including administrative tasks and cell transport)

Requirements

Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:

■ Knowledge and experience in cell culture and/or aseptic techniques in a corporate research environment
■ Research experience related to organoids
■ Experience with PCR
■ Basic computer skills

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: ¥3M– ¥6M per year

Overtime pay: Paid according to company standards
Commuting allowance: Paid according to company standards
