#173 QA Engineer (Okinawa or Fully Remote / Up to 10 million yen + SO)

This company uses AI and IoT technology to provide cloud services that enable remote visual inspection of analog instruments in infrastructure facilities, etc. Using low-power IoT cameras and machine learning, it automatically reads instrument values even in places without power, improving the efficiency and reducing the labor required for inspection work, and is increasingly being adopted by major companies.

【job description】

As the first QA engineer, you will be responsible for the following tasks with a high degree of autonomy:

1. Implementation of Multi-Layer Quality Assurance
– Test planning, specification confirmation and review, test preparation (test data creation, test design), test execution and result analysis, and determination of modification policies for both software and hardware
– Creation of test bases and test design/execution for regression testing of existing functions
– Cloud/AI: UI/UX, evaluation of AI reading accuracy, API integration
– Mobile Apps: UI/UX for iOS/Android and cross-platform consistency testing
– Camera: Testing of camera operation according to FW specifications
– Investigation of the cause of user-reported defects (reproduction confirmation, log review) and escalation to relevant parties
2. Test Automation and Technical Approaches
– Consideration of test automation and environment construction
– Design and operation of test benches that reproduce the actual environment
3. Launching QA Strategy and Processes (0→1)
– Creation of a roadmap for launching the QA process
– Integration of the QA process into the development flow (Agile/Scrum)
– Selection of test management tools and defect management flows, and establishment of operational rules

【Requirements】

– Practical experience (3+ years) in test planning, design, and execution in software testing
– QA experience in either cloud or mobile applications
– Strong communication skills to discuss and propose quality improvements on an equal footing with engineers and PMs

– Required Japanese language ：N1
