Global Recruitment

Company Overview

The company aims to bring quantum computing into practical, real-world use.

By realizing quantum computing, they seek to balance energy efficiency with high computational power, overcome the limits of information processing facing humanity, and contribute to the creation of a sustainable society.

They are a pioneering leader in the global quantum computing market, driven by proprietary optical quantum technology that enables room-temperature operation and excellent scalability. A diverse team of highly skilled professionals from various backgrounds and fields collaborates daily, transcending borders and disciplinary boundaries.

They welcome ambitious individuals who want to create world-changing “next-generation technology” firsthand and make a genuine impact on the global market.

The company is also well-capitalized, having raised a total of 7 billion yen in funding.

Background

Many unresolved challenges remain in the research and development of photonic quantum computers. In particular, achieving error correction and non-linear operations requires a special type of quantum light known as “non-Gaussian states.” their mission is to accelerate the realization of fault-tolerant photonic quantum computers by conducting fundamental research on the efficient generation, manipulation, and measurement of these non-Gaussian states. To further accelerate their R&D, they are newly seeking a “Junior Quantum Scientist” to work alongside their senior scientists, driving the team’s momentum through experimental execution and data analysis. Regardless of age, they welcome individuals with a strong curiosity for unexplored technological domains who will enjoy taking on this academic challenge together with them.

Key Responsibilities

This position is a crucial role where you will work alongside senior scientists to engage in cutting-edge fundamental research aimed at realizing a fault-tolerant universal photonic quantum computer. You will provide hands-on support in the daily execution of experiments and data collection, as well as assist in the construction and maintenance of complex optical setups utilizing optical fibers, free-space optics, and optical waveguides. The research topics are as follows:

    • Experimental generation of GKP states (complex non-Gaussian states)
    • Implementation of cubic phase gates
    • Realization of low-loss, high-speed optical switches
    • Theoretical and experimental research toward the realization of high-purity non-Gaussian states
