Global Recruitment

Company Overview

The company aims to bring quantum computing into practical, real-world use.

By realizing quantum computing, they seek to balance energy efficiency with high computational power, overcome the limits of information processing facing humanity, and contribute to the creation of a sustainable society.

They are a pioneering leader in the global quantum computing market, driven by proprietary optical quantum technology that enables room-temperature operation and excellent scalability. A diverse team of highly skilled professionals from various backgrounds and fields collaborates daily, transcending borders and disciplinary boundaries.

They welcome ambitious individuals who want to create world-changing “next-generation technology” firsthand and make a genuine impact on the global market.

The company is also well-capitalized, having raised a total of 7 billion yen in funding.

Key Responsibilities

They are a deep-tech startup aiming to commercialize optical quantum computers. Analog and RF circuits—which must meet the unique demands of photonic systems—directly determine the performance of qubit generation, control, and readout.
In this role, you will serve as a dedicated high-frequency (RF/microwave) engineer responsible for the following tasks:

・Design and verification of high-frequency analog circuits
>Design, simulation, prototyping, and evaluation of optical modulator (EOM/AOM) driver circuits
>Design of wideband transimpedance amplifiers and low-noise amplifiers for photodetectors (APD/PD)

Design of high-precision clock/synchronization systems and signal sources
>Design of low-phase-noise RF synthesizers, PLLs, VCOs, mixers, filters, etc., and optimization of phase noise and spurious characteristics
>Design of system-wide time synchronization and low-jitter clock distribution systems, and verification on actual hardware

・Implementation of ultra-high-speed feed-forward control systems
>Analog and high-speed digital design of ultra-high-speed feed-forward circuits (the loop from optical detection to subsequent modulation), which are critical to the optical quantum computer
>Implementation to minimize latency in conjunction with FPGAs and high-speed DACs/ADCs, and algorithm application in collaboration with quantum scientists

・System integration and bridging to mass production
>Implementation of EMI/EMC/ESD countermeasures, direction of PCB designers, system integration in collaboration with optical, mechanical, and software teams, and leadership of design improvements with a view toward mass production

Requirements

・Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field (Master’s degree or higher preferred)
・At least 5 years of practical experience in the design, simulation, prototyping, and evaluation of high-frequency (hundreds of MHz to GHz range) analog/RF circuits
・Practical experience with circuit simulators (e.g., ADS, AWR Microwave Office, SPICE-based tools) and schematic/PCB design CAD software (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD, KiCad), as well as experience conducting evaluations using instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers
・Ability to take initiative and drive complex projects forward, whether working independently or as part of a team
・Business-level proficiency in Japanese or English

Preferred Requirements

・Experience in RF module design (e.g., PLLs, low-phase-noise synthesizers, low-phase-noise VCOs, power amplifiers; any frequency band)
・Knowledge of and practical experience with integrated photonics and RF photonics
・Experience in chip-level high-frequency circuit design and characterization using integrated modulators and integrated photodiodes on photonic integrated circuits (PICs)
・Experience in circuit design for optical modulator (EOM/AOM) drive circuits, transimpedance amplifiers (TIAs) for photodetectors, or circuits for quantum optics, optical communications, or optical metrology
・Experience implementing feedback/feedforward control systems and designing systems involving FPGAs (VHDL/Verilog)
・Practical experience in ASIC/MMIC design, packaging, and verification, or in integrated circuit characterization and testing
・Experience with quantum optics experiments
