This company is a biotech founded in 2021. They are developing a novel genome-editing technology that is independent of the CRISPR/Cas system, with the goal of enabling innovative therapeutic strategies. With this technology, they aim to overcome limitations and address challenges associated with conventional genome editing.
They are advancing our platform technology while conducting translational research to apply it to disease therapeutics.
•Execute drug discovery programs using proprietary genome-editing technology.
└ Advance CAR-T cell therapy programs.
└ Advance gene replacement therapy programs.
• Conduct functional evaluation of genome-edited cells in vitro and ex vivo.
• Evaluate genome-editing effects in vivo using mouse models.
• Design and evaluate gene therapy vectors (non-viral and AAV systems).
• Design and optimize gene expression control systems for human therapeutic applications, including the design and evaluation of regulatory elements and tissue- and cell-type-specific expression.
• Lead and execute projects with external research collaborators.
Note: Responsibilities listed here cover the scope for multiple open positions. Individual scope will be
assigned based on experience and organizational needs.
• Ph.D. degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong research background in molecular biology, cell biology, or molecular pharmacology.
• Ability to independently design research tasks and execute hypothesis-driven experiments.
• Strong communication skills across internal and external teams.
• Sufficient knowledge and research experience in the field of immunology (experience in CAR-T cell therapy research is a plus)
• Experience in in vivo (mouse) evaluation
• Substantial knowledge and research experience in immunology.
• Substantial experience with animal experiments using mice.
• Knowledge of, or hands-on experience in, therapeutic development for human diseases.
• Hands-on experience in gene expression control or gene therapy research using human cells.
• Demonstrated research achievements such as high-quality publications and/or patents.
Annual Salary: 5 – 10 million JPY

Working Hours: Based on 9:00-18:00 (left to the individual’s discretion)
