Job Description

  • Hiring Background
    This company operates multiple services for inbound and domestic travelers, including rental WiFi, eSIM, bullet train tickets, airport taxi, and more.Until now, Marketing’s main role has been to support each business unit with acquisition and ad operations.Going forward, they want Marketing to evolve into a horizontal organization that drives profit and LTV across services through:・Profit-based budget optimization using a cross-service dashboard
    ・CRM to increase repeat usage and cross-sellCurrently, the foundations of our profit dashboard and CRM pilot are being built by an existing team member.
    The next step is to hire a dedicated specialist who can take over, improve, and scale these initiatives.Responsibilities

    1. Dashboard / Reporting Operation & Improvement

    ・Take over and improve the master sheet and profit dashboard (ad spend + revenue + COGS) that a current team member is building.

    ・Operate and refine Looker Studio reports that visualize:
    Marketing investments across all channels (Google Ads, Meta Ads, affiliates, etc.)
    Operating profit for each service.
    ・Standardize and automate weekly and monthly marketing reports.

    2. CRM (Email Marketing) Analysis & Expansion
    ・Monitor performance existing email journeys
    ・Analyze open rate, CTR, CVR, unsubscribe rate, and propose improvements.
    ・Calculate additional conversions and incremental revenue / profit driven by CRM emails.
    ・Work with the marketing lead to expand CRM journeys, segments, and content as part of the annual CRM plan for future years.

    3. CVR Improvement & Test Analysis Support
    ・Support the design of A/B tests on:
    ・Landing pages
    ・Order forms
    ・Pricing and plan display, etc.

    4. Analyze test results:
    ・Which variants improved CVR or CPA, and by how much.
    ・Translate results into next actions together with PM, Development, and Marketing.

    5. Laying the Foundation for Future MMM & AI
    ・Organize data definitions and naming rules (UTM parameters, event names, etc.).
    ・Help build a data structure that supports future:
    ・Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM)
    ・Automated reporting and AI-driven optimization

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience: 3–7 years of hands-on experience in Data Analysis, CRM Operations, or Performance Marketing.
  • Profit Logic & Tools: Deep understanding of unit economics (calculating GP, CAC, ROAS, LTV) to drive business discussions. Mastery of advanced Google Sheets/Excel, GA4, and BI tools (Looker Studio, Tableau) for data aggregation and dashboard building.
  • CRM Expertise: Proven track record of designing user journeys, lifecycle emails, and segmenting customer lists. (Specific tool experience like Salesforce or HubSpot is not strictly required, provided you deeply understand the core logic of CRM strategy and marketing automation).
  • Languages: N3-level Japanese (for smooth communication with Dev/PM/CS teams internally) AND Business-level English.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience extracting and manipulating raw data using SQL (BigQuery, etc.), knowledge of the travel/OTA/inbound tourism industry, or experience aligning marketing data with financial and accounting data.

 

Tools used

  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4) – tracking and basic analysis
  • Looker Studio – building and operating dashboards
  • Excel / Google Sheets – pivot tables, basic formulas, data handling

 

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who:

  • Wants to think about marketing not only in terms of “getting more clicks,” but in terms of profit, LTV, and repeat usage.
  • Enjoys building and improving spreadsheets, dashboards, and processes themselves, not just reading others’ reports.
  • Can communicate and collaborate with multiple functions:
    ・Marketing, PM, Development, CS, and management.
    ・Wants to work in a small, fast-moving team where their numbers are used directly for company-level decision-making.

 

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: JPY 6,000,000 – 8,000,000 per year
Probation Period: 6 months
